A bit about Majid

Majid Khoury is a Certified Analysis & Insights Professional (CAIP) and a Fellow of Canadian Research Insights Council (FCRIC) with over 30 years of market research experience.

After working in advertising and brand research agencies for over 25 years, Majid changed careers in 2012 to work independently as an extension of organizations’ marketing, advertising, branding, communications and insights teams. With this structure, organizations can capitalize on his expertise when they need it and for what they need it for with no long-term contracts, retainers or minimum hours’ obligations.

Most importantly, it allows Majid to work hands-on in projects. Meaning clients benefit from his wealth of brand/ad tracking, survey design, data analysis and ‘beyond-the-scope’ insights generating expertise.

Expertise that Majid has developed over 30 years in the business and working in almost every category. Helping marketers, advertisers and organizations use data to help tackle everything from rebranding strategies, garnering support for issues and causes, optimizing media strategies, fining tune messaging and demonstrating ROI on their marketing communications investments.

His career started in the mid-80s at Tandemar Research (now Ipsos ASI) in Montreal and Toronto. He moved to Vancouver in 1992 as Vice President for a local market research firm, Farrell Research. In 1996, he set up his own advertising and branding research boutique, MarketExplorers. The company was a success in the local market and was sold to Ipsos 9 years later. 

At Ipsos, Majid held a Senior Vice President position responsible for Ipsos advertising and brand research across Western North America working with major local and global brands.
